Rennes midfielder Sylvain Marveaux was a VIP guest at this evening's 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.
The 24-year-old can play anywhere across midfield but is often used on the left in an attacking role.
"There are a couple of pre-contract agreements that could be signed around 1st January or the summer."
The latest whispers suggest that Marveaux is on Merseyside to ink a contract offer but there is no official confirmation at this time.
